KAHURANGI BLUE

Our Kapiti Kahurangi Blue is a delightfully smooth and creamy cheese with delicate blue veining. A rich texture with subtle blue flavour and delightful salty tang to finish. Just like our other blues, Kahurangi is made by hand. Kahurangi is the peoples Blue, winning the New World Cheese Lovers’ Choice Award for the past 5 years.

Kahurangi has a mild savoury and slightly fruity flavour making it very versatile. Try with seeded crackers and quince paste or for something a little more adventurous pair with Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate. Every bite will hit you with a sweet and salty, creamy and chewy conundrum.

 

Best Served At
Serve at room temperature to allow the cheese’s full flavour, aroma and texture to bloom. Remove the cheese from the fridge, place on the platter or board, then cover with a clean damp cloth an hour before serving.
Best Stored at 4 °
After it’s been opened, re-wrap in cling film or aluminium foil and then place in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination and drying out.
