Our Kāpiti Pakari Smoked Cheddar is a strong, natural cheddar, which is surface dipped in a hardwood smoke infusion. It is then enrobed in golden wax to protect the robust taste. In te reo Māori, Pakari speaks of maturity and strength - qualities shared by this cheese.
Try pairing Pakari Smoked Cheddar with pork jerky for something a little adventurous. The mild smokiness of the cheddar compliments the BBQ flavour of the pork jerky.
Serve at room temperature to allow the cheese’s full flavour, aroma and texture to bloom. Remove the cheese from the fridge, place on the platter or board, then cover with a clean damp cloth an hour before serving.

After it’s been opened, re-wrap in cling film or aluminium foil and then place in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination and drying out.
