Our Kāpiti Kakato Cumin Seed Gouda is a hand-turned semi-soft dutch style cheese. It has a fruity sweetness that is scattered with the nutty, earthy flavours of cumin seeds. Kakato means flavoursome, delicious and appetising in te reo Māori, a perfect description for this divine cheese.

Fresh, aromatic flavours rise from the palette as our nutty Kakato Cumin Seed Gouda and sprigs of coriander collide. The sweet tang of onion jam provides the perfect finish.

Best Served At
Serve at room temperature to allow the cheese’s full flavour, aroma and texture to bloom. Remove the cheese from the fridge, place on the platter or board, then cover with a clean damp cloth an hour before serving.
Best Stored at 4 °
After it’s been opened, re-wrap in cling film or aluminium foil and then place in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination and drying out.
