KAKATO CUMIN SEED GOUDA
Our Kāpiti Kakato Cumin Seed Gouda is a hand-turned semi-soft dutch style cheese. It has a fruity sweetness that is scattered with the nutty, earthy flavours of cumin seeds. Kakato means flavoursome, delicious and appetising in Te Reo, a perfect description for this divine cheese.
One of our most popular cheeses, it is always a hit on the cheeseboard. Pair the nutty, earthy Cumin Seed Gouda with sprigs of fresh coriander and the sweet tang of onion jam.
Best Served At
Serve at room temperature to allow the cheese’s full flavour, aroma and texture to bloom. Remove the cheese from the fridge, place on the platter or board, then cover with a clean damp cloth an hour before serving.

After it’s been opened, re-wrap in cling film or aluminium foil and then place in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination and drying out.
