Our Kāpiti Cumin Seed Gouda is a hand-turned semi-soft dutch style cheese with a fruity sweetness that is peppered with cumin seed. One of our most popular cheeses, this Cumin Seed Gouda is always a hit on the cheeseboard and pairs well with crackers and wholegrain mustard. It’s worth noting Gouda is not pronounced as goo-da or gow-da but more like a hoo-da , with the h being a very Dutch, throat clearing consonant.
Best Served At
Serve at room temperature to allow the cheese’s full flavour, aroma and texture to bloom. Remove the cheese from the fridge, place on the platter or board, then cover with a clean damp cloth an hour before serving.
Best Stored at 4 °
After it’s been opened, re-wrap in cling film or aluminium foil and then place in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination and drying out.
