AWA TANGY BLUE
Kāpiti Awa Tangy Blue is our strongest blue and has a sharp, salty flavour enhanced by a little less cream to deliver a big bold punch. Awa means river in Te Reo Māori. Just as water meets land, streams of blue and green course through a moist and crumbly body.
This beautiful blue took out the Supreme Award at the 2020 NZ Cheese Awards as well as the Best Original NZ Cheese Trophy. Streaming with taste, our awesome Awa tangy blue delivers a knockout smack of perfectly balanced acid and sweet tang when matched with freeze-dried pineapple.
Best Served At
Serve at room temperature to allow the cheese’s full flavour, aroma and texture to bloom. Remove the cheese from the fridge, place on the platter or board, then cover with a clean damp cloth an hour before serving.

After it’s been opened, re-wrap in cling film or aluminium foil and then place in an airtight container to prevent cross-contamination and drying out.
